A Life Story

Agnes Bridget Furlong Swinson, 95, died Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Spanish Oaks Retreat. Agnes was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah. She was a 1946 graduate of St. Vincent's Academy and a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. She was the daughter of Agnes Schuman Furlong and William Anthony Furlong.She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Curtis Edward Swinson, her parents, and her sister, Theresa Furlong McCarthy.She is survived by her four children, Judie Craft (Ed), Gerard Swinson (Suzanne), Tom Swinson, and Tim Swinson (Lisa); her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel. A Rosary be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2024, at The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist.Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery.Remembrances may be made to St. Vincent's Academy, 207 E.
