A Life Story
Anne "Annie" Lucille Kicklighter Lariscy passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2025. She lived a long and often challenging life. Despite these challenges, she always cared more about others than herself. She gave freely, and asked little. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. Everyone who met her was touched by her genuine sweetness and she deserved more than this world gave her.Anne took great joy in her faith and her family, both of which brought her strength and comfort throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Sr., her brother, Perry Kicklighter, and her daughter, Madelyn Lariscy Atkins. She is survived by her son, Rodney, Jr., as well as her grandchildren, Emily Atkins & Melissa Anderson and Scott & Meredith Atkins, and her great grandchildren - Milo, Emma, Caroline, and Miles. She was a very active member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church until her health prevented her from attending services or volunteering any longer.Though her later years were filled with frustrating limitations and physical discomfort, those who loved her take solace knowing she is now at peace.A remembrance will be held in her honor at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 10 W 31st St, on Friday, February 14th at 11 AM. A tea reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Senior Citizens Inc., an organization that provides Meals on Wheels and vital support to older adults in need-causes that align with Anne's lifelong spirit of giving.
