    A Life Story

    Annie Mae Hartley Hart, 88, of Savannah Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 29, 2026. Born, July 6, 1938, to the late Gwyn Hartley and the late Myrtle Austin Hartley. She was preceded in death by her sister Coleen Hartley Coffee (Eugene), Her brothers are Harvey (Judy) and G. W. (Lavonne). She precedes her husband Dale Hart. They were married for 70 years and had two daughters Anita H. Ritchie (Rusty) and Linda H. Mathis (Ronald deceased). Four grandchildren Daniel (Dennette), Kevin, Amanda (Spencer), and Heather (Derrick). Four great grandchildren Diana, Natalie, Luna and Ruby. She graduated from Hudson High School in the Class of 1956 as an honor student. Annie was a long time member of Compassion Christian Church and the Christian Saints Class. She served several years as a scheduler and manager of the Greeters for the Wednesday Night Service. Annie had a career with the Department of the Army Civil Service and was employed at many locations as she accompanied her husband who spent 30 years in the US Army. She retired in 1987 at Hunter Army Airfield. She was an active member of the Forest City Garden Club and loved working with plants and flowers and exchanging ideas with club members. Also, she loved crafting and collecting miniature figurines of which she had a display of more than two hundred. Her participating sports were bowling and fishing with her husband, many times out doing him. For example, she caught a 13 lb large mouth bass to her credit. Although Dale fished several bass fishing trails, he has never caught a 13lb bass. Annie will be remembered as a wonderful loving wife, mother and faithful Christian. A Memorial service will be held at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Dr. Savannah GA 31419, on Saturday, July 18" (Visitation 10 to 11 a.m. Service at 11 a.m.) Remembrances may be sent to Compassion Christian Church, 55 Al Henderson Blvd, Savannah, GA 31419.
