    A Life Story

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Barbara Anglin DiCola. She left us after a short illness on October 18th, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family in her final days.Born and raised in Savannah, GA she was known for her petite stature, red hair, freckles and impeccable taste for shoes and clothing. She was certainly intimidating with her immaculately kept home. She welcomed the neighborhood children where she entertained them as she competed with them in the games of jacks and the retro paddle ball game. By the way she always won. She was notorious for her pranks on neighbors and by surprising them as she pretended to be an unruly and ungrateful child as she Trick or Treated on Halloween. She was a woman full of love, laughter, strength, and determination. She was one of the most hard-working women you have ever met. Her passion for cooking, entertaining and gardening with her unwavering spirit will forever be remembered. Her absence will leave the deepest void in our hearts that cannot be filled. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Addie Anglin, her spouse, Nunzio Vic DiCola, her sisters, Roberta Cook and Jean Herring, her son-in-law, Arthur "Butch" Thompson and her favorite niece and best friend, Brenda Burkhalter. She leaves behind her loving sons, Randy DiCola (Barbara), Jeff DiCola (Andee), daughter, Lynn Thompson and grandsons, Ryan Thompson, Nick DiCola and Matt DiCola.Graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Friday, October 25th, 2024 at 1:00 pm.
