    A Life Story

    Rincon- Cle M. Lynes, Jr., 82, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The Savannah native was a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon. He was a 1962 graduate of Jenkins High School, where he played football and baseball. He worked for over 40 years with Union Bag/Camp/International Paper where he was a member of the International Papermaker Union. He was a member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge #452 and the Alee Temple. He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart wife, Mary Alice Lynes; and his son, Cle M. Lynes, III “Trey”. He is survived by his daughter, Shawn Baker; grandchildren, Abbey Christine Baker and Sierra Mackenzie Baker; a brother, James H. Lynes (Bobbie); and sister, Tricia Lynes Bullington (Bruce). Visitation: 5 -7 pm Thursday, August 20, 2026 in the funeral home. Funeral: 10 am Friday, August 21, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Rincon. Interment will follow at Greenwich Cemetery.
