A Life Story

Clyo – Donnie D. Smith, 82, passed away January 9, 2025 at his home. The Newington, GA native was a US Army Vietnam veteran. He retired from Tetley Tea after 30 years of service. Donnie loved driving a dump truck, old cars, drag racing, NASCAR, and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandson. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Smith; children, Shane Smith, James Marcum (Lauren), and Katie Adams (Daniel); grandchildren, Hailey, Macy, Alexis, Aubrey, A.J., Gabby, Zack, and Lucas; a great-grandson, Julian; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation: 2-3 pm Saturday, January 11, 2025 in the funeral home. Funeral: 3 pm Saturday, January 11, 2025 in the funeral home chapel.
