A Life Story

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward James Davy Jr., a beloved husband, father, and friend. Edward passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14th, 2026, at his residence in Guyton, Georgia, at the age of 65. Edward was born on Wednesday, February 22nd, 1961, in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the dearly loved son of the late Edward James Davy Sr. and Phyllis Ann Davy, who instilled in him a strong work ethic and a sense of duty and honor. Edward proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, where he developed a keen attention to detail and precision. He continued to utilize these skills in his civilian career as an Aerospace Inspector with Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Georgia. His dedication and expertise were evident throughout his 30 years of service, where he was known for his commitment to excellence and his ability to inspire those around him. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Audrey Davy, and his son, Edward J. Davy III. Mother, Phyllis Ann Davy. Siblings; Cindy (Jim) Covill, Cathy Kiernan, Susan (Charlie) Robillard, David (Melissa) Davy, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. They remember him as a devoted family man who always put loved ones first and was a source of strength and comfort. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to everyone for their kind words and support during this difficult time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker McCullough Funeral Home-Garden City Chapel. Edward will be remembered for his love of life, his unwavering integrity, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
