A Life Story

Elizabeth Widmann Ledford, 93, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024. She was born February 2, 1931, in Germany. She was a longtime resident of Tybee Island, and a member of Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for adult women and sang in the choir. She retired as manager of David's Supermarket. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd A. Ledford.Surviving are her three daughters, Mary J. Sjerps, Jane Ellen Sublet, and Suzi Nesbitt (Glenn), and her two grandchildren, Meagan Pena (Juan), and Jimmy Smith (Mylene).Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel.The Funeral Service will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel.The burial will be private.
