    A Life Story

Glenn Howard Luethje Glenn Howard Luethje, 69, passed away on May 12, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Gladbrook, Iowa, Glenn lived a life defined by hard work, faith, and devotion to those he loved most. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Marjorie Luethje and his sister Ann Daniels. He leaves behind his loving wife, Ella May Luethje, with whom he shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a strong and loving family. He is survived by his son, Tony De Villiers; his daughter, Becky Thompson, and her husband Christopher; and his cherished grandchildren, Alex, Lilly, and Lucas Thompson, who brought great joy to his life. Glenn spent many years working in the construction and cement industry, where he was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and treasured the freedom and peace of the open road. Eighteen years ago, Glenn and Ella May moved from Cape Coral, Florida, to Rincon, Georgia, to enjoy retirement and be closer to family and friends. During his retirement years, Glenn continued to enjoy life’s simple pleasures, especially time spent with those he loved most. Faith was an important part of Glenn’s life, and he was a devoted member of Abundant Life Church. He will be remembered for his caring heart, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Glenn’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
