A Life Story

Grace Eugenia Chitwood passed away in her family home on October 21st, 2024.Grace was born on July 17th, 1940 in Alto, Georgia to the late William Thomas Chosewood and Ethel Mae Roper Chosewood. Throughout her life, she lived in Cornelia, Calhoun, Atlanta, Carrollton, Forest Park, and Jonesboro before moving to Savannah in 2022.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Walraven; second husband, Robert Chitwood; brothers, William Thomas Chosewood Jr., Lamar "Bud" Chosewood, and Raymond Chosewood; sisters, Mildred Cleo Chosewood, Pauline Ambrose, Ruby Evelyn Chosewood, and Hazel Ann Lewallen; daughter, Annette Walraven.She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Lassor; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kayleigh and Caleb Hurst; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Phillip and Renae Lassor; twin brother, Grady Eugene Chosewood; and four great-grandchildren.Grace enjoyed reading, movies, going to the beach, going to concerts, being out in the sun, and spending time with her family. She also had a deep love for her lord and savior Jesus Christ. She will be remembered for her incredible kindness, generosity, and caring spirit.A memorial service for Grace will be held at Fairview Baptist Church in Jonesboro, GA on November 10th starting at 12:30 PM.
