A Life Story
Isabelle Souza Stokes, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, surrounded by her family on Tybee Island, Georgia. Born on September 20, 1944, in Brunswick, GA, Isabelle was the daughter of the late Armond Armondor Souza, Sr. and Gladys Perry Souza.Throughout her life, Isabelle was known for her kindness, resilience, and dedication to her family. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Donna Ann Floyd, and her brothers, John "Giese" Souza and Armond Armondor Souza, Jr.She is survived by her loving husband, Bervin Franklin Stokes, her daughter Sharon Floyd Hosti, her son Michael Allen Floyd, and her stepchildren Brian Clay Stokes, Michael Allen Stokes, and Mary Gena Lawwill. Isabelle also leaves behind her cherished grandson, Michael Shane Floyd, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Her sister, Tomaza Armondor Stringer, and her husband, Jimmy Stringer, along with her sister-in-law, Vickie Souza, also survive her.In remembrance of Isabelle's compassionate spirit, her family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Savannah Humane Society. A private burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
