A Life Story

Joseph “Joey” Wyman Griffin, 51, passed away on July 8, 2026. Born in Savannah, Georgia, on September 27, 1974, Joey was known for his outgoing personality, loyal friendships, and love for life. Joey cherished spending time with his family and friends and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good gathering. He loved the outdoors, especially riding his four-wheeler and side-by-side, and was particularly fond of mud bogging. He also had a passion for trucks and motorcycles. A skilled welder by trade, Joey was highly respected for his workmanship. Throughout his career, he worked for JCB and later TICO, where he put his talents and dedication to good use. Those who knew him often spoke of his generous spirit, dependable nature, and the lasting friendships he formed over the years. The many messages shared by friends following his passing are a testament to how deeply he was loved and how greatly he will be missed. Joey was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his daughter, Jessy Griffin; his sister, Priscilla Thomas; his brother, Joshua Jo Griffin; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. There are no services scheduled for Mr. Griffin at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
