A Life Story
Kelli Suzanne Cason Rose, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, one day before her 67th birthday. She was born on June 3, 1959, in Brunswick, Georgia. Kelli was a dedicated nurse who spent her career caring for others with compassion and kindness. She touched countless lives through her work and through the friendships she built over the years. Those who knew Kelli will remember her caring heart, her strength, and her ability to make people feel loved and valued. Kelli was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her beloved stepmother, Mitz Boyd; her loving sister, Paige Cason; and her stepbrother, Trey Rourk. Kelli loved her family deeply, and the bond they shared meant more to her than words could express. One of Kelli's greatest joys in her life was her beloved fur babies. They were her constant companions, her comfort, and her family. She experienced the loss of Lucy, Bandit, and her sweet boy Buddy, over the past five years, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her cherished fur baby Furman is now being lovingly cared for by one of Kelli's close friends and his wonderful family. Knowing Furman is surrounded by love brought Kelli great peace. Anyone who spent time with Kelli likely heard my favorite expression of her, "Mercy Jones," especially whenever Buddy was nearby or on her mind. It was a phrase that always brought a smile to those around her and remains a cherished memory for the people who loved her. Kelli also had many dear friends whose love and friendship enriched her life. She will be remembered for her resilience, her caring nature, her deep generous nature, and the countless memories she created with those who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, Kelli's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. May she rest in peace.
