A Life Story
Nancy Graham November 12, 1943 – October 10, 2026 Nancy Graham, affectionately known as “Fancy Nancy,” passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 82. A Southern lady through and through, Nancy had an appreciation for the finer details, a flair for fashion, and a spirited nature all her own. Always impeccably put together, she carried herself with grace, charm, and no shortage of sass. Nancy met her husband, Carl, in their youth, and the two married during his service in the United States Army. Together, they built a family and a lifetime of memories. Both avid dancers, they were known to light up a dance floor, and Nancy was never short of admirers hoping for a place on her dance card. Though her husband may have appeared to run the household, those closest to them knew Nancy was often the one steering the ship—and not always quietly. Nancy had a gift for bringing people together. Her holiday meals and Sunday dinners were cherished moments, complete with wonderful cooking and beautifully arranged tables that reflected her artistic flair and love of entertaining. And, of course, second helpings were always encouraged. Nancy embraced life with an adventurous spirit. In her younger years, she enjoyed summers in Panama City and was an accomplished skier. With a love for creativity and a willingness to try something new, she had a way of turning even the simplest occasion into a memorable experience. Nancy was a woman of undeniable presence, equal parts elegance and determination, with a character that left little room for indifference. She leaves behind countless memories, beloved traditions, and stories that will continue to be shared with laughter and affection. In addition to her husband, C. Carl Graham, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Wodkowski. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Graham of Savannah, and Kim’s daughter, Brittany Leigh McLaughlin of Savannah, her son-in-law, Michael Wodkowski, and his son, Michael Graham Wodkowski of Savannah. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date, with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Greenbrier Children's Center.
