A Life Story

Ralph Charles Schilly Jr. passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024, at Thrive on Skidaway. Ralph lived a fulfilling and joyful life, always marked by his passion for golf and his love of the outdoors. A proud club champion in Pennsylvania, his happiest days were spent on the course, especially during his travels overseas to Scotland, where he played more rounds and built cherished memories with his friends.Ralph was also an avid gardener, nurturing both plants and relationships, and found great joy in the summer months spent camping with his children. His dedication to his family and his deep love for nature created unforgettable experiences and lasting bonds.He is preceded in death by his first wife, Theresa Galenski.Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Hoffman Schilly, to whom he was devoted since their marriage in 2003. His legacy continues through his four children: Michael M. Schilly of Katy, Texas; David F. Schilly of Southern Pines, North Carolina; Stephen Schilly of Eustis, Florida; and Mary C. Knisely of West Chester, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by five stepchildren and eight beloved grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, with Father Firmin officiating.
