    A Life Story

    Rincon – Randy Edward McCurry, 64, passed away January 15, 2025, at Candler Hospital.Born in Perry, GA and grew up and graduated from high school in Warner Robbins, GA before entering the U.S. Army in 1979 and serving until 1982 as a M.P. He retired from Savannah Police Department as a Star Corporal and then went on to work for Effingham County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff and a Blue Coat in the courthouse.He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward McCurry and Fay Fulford McCurry; and his brother, Terry McCurry.Survivors include his wife, Carla Powers McCurry; son, Stephen Edward McCurry (Wanda Michelle McCurry); grandsons, Colton Edward McCurry and Wyatt Jameson McCurry.Visitation will be 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel.Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to the Treutlen House at New Ebenezer.Thomas C.
