A Life Story
Roger A. Munderloh, 82 of Savannah, Georgia passed away on Wednesday November 6, 2024 at home following an extended illness. Roger was born May 13, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Gordon and Esther (Sorkin) Munderloh. He was married for the past 40 years to Shirley (Roelle) Munderloh who survives.Roger is also survived by daughter Tonya of Florida; sister Genie (Richard) George of PA; step children Beth and David Pirnstill; as well as extended family and friends.Roger grew up in Baltimore area and completed basic Military training at Camp Pendleton CA before becoming a U.S. Marine. He served in Vietnam from 1963 to 1967 reaching the rank of Sergeant and receiving numerous commendations which included the Expert Rifle Badge M 14.Prior to retirement, Roger worked at Memorial and Candler St. Joseph Hospitals in Savannah providing Executive Search Services. Roger was a World Class Trap Shooter and member of the Forrest City Gun Club in Savannah.A graveside service with Military Honors for his cremains will be held in Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date. The family suggest memorials be in the form of contributions to the Wounded Warriors. Fox and Weeks Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
