A Life Story

Susann Jo Clarke Kearney, age 74, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her home in Savannah surrounded by her family.Susann, a native of Savannah was born on June 13, 1950, the daughter of Josephine G. and Cecil H. Clarke. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Elementary School and St. Vincent's Academy. She retired as a Teller from Suntrust Bank after many years of service. She was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, C. Harry Clarke. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, William R. "Billy" Kearney, IV; sons, William R. "Billy" Kearney, V (Dawn) of Lexington, SC and Michael C. Kearney (Taylor) of Savannah; sisters, Sylvia C. Wonn of Columbus, OH, and Mary Ann C. Goodrich (Chris) of Savannah; sisters-in-law, Jean P. Clarke, Cornile K. Krizman (Kurt), and Kay K. Grayson; brother-in-law, Ralph N. "Rusty" Kearney (Wanda); and grandsons, Zachary (Dianna) and Landon.The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1003 E.
