A Life Story
Theodora "Dori" Chappas Teuton, born May 8, 1956, passed away on October 1st, 2026, on her own terms in her home with the company of her most loyal dog Lily. A windsurfer, scuba diver, animal advocate, hippie, patron of the arts, X-ray/CAT scan technician, and lighter thief, Dori also spent the last decade of her life being the best Yia-yia in Grecian history to her grandchildren Aela, Benjamin, and Evelyn. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry and is survived by dozens of friends and family members whom it would cost too much to name here, and by her son, Christopher, who knew she would think it was funny if he used the same obituary formatting twice. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a monetary or physical donation to your local animal shelter or library.
