A Life Story
William Glen Hayman, 47, of Savannah Georgia passed away peacefully at Hospice of Savannah on July 26, 2026. He was a loyal fan of Georgia Tech and loved reading, history, trivia, singing, karaoke, and collecting comic books. Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late Lester and Margaret Hayman. Glen graduated from St. Andrews on the Marsh and Belmont Abbey College. He was a member of Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church on Tybee Island and also attended Bull Street Baptist Church. Glen is survived by his siblings Lester Jr (Annette), Michael (Pamela), Brandi (Chris) and Margaret Michelle “Chellie”. He was uncle to Jessica Hayman Hood (Dustin), Michael Hayman Jr (Brittany), and Nicholas Iddins as well as great-uncle to Nathan Hayman. In addition, he is survived by numerous lifelong friends who he also considered his family. He was predeceased by his parents and his nephew Hunter Alexander Iddins. A celebration of life was hosted by his friends on August 15, 2026 at Bay Street Blues to honor his love of singing and karaoke as well as remember Glen as a vibrant, loyal friend who was loved by them all. A memorial service will be held on Sunday August 23, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church on Tybee Island.
