    A Life Story

In Loving Memory of Daisy Angela Weigel Godbee Daisy Angela Weigel Godbee, age 79, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer and is now at peace. Born in Jeanerette, Louisiana, Daisy moved to Port Wentworth, Georgia, at a young age. She attended Groves High School, where she met Richard, the love of her life. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, hard work, and business—a life they shared for 62 years. Daisy will be remembered for her strength, steady love, and the countless ways she shaped the lives of those around her. She showed up for every game, match, play, pageant, event, and ceremony, as a coach or fan. Whether it was a major milestone or simply a moment that mattered to someone she loved, Daisy made sure she was there. She conquered the art of showing up. For her family, her presence was one of her greatest gifts. She was the person they could count on, the one who celebrated their victories, stood beside them through difficult times, and created memories that will be treasured for generations. Daisy is survived by her beloved husband, Richard. Her children: Jada (Tracy), Tim (Sue Ellen), and Michael (Christy). Her grandchildren: Shelby (Karl), Ashley (Brendan), Kimberly (John), Cameron, Cole, Madison, Brooke, and Caden, Lindsey, Gracen (Jackson), Rileigh Kate, and Zac. Her great-grandchildren: Lilly and Ellie, Marissa, Douglas, and Isabella. She is also survived by her two sisters, Nadine (Gerry) and Rainie (Jimmy); her sister and brother-in-law, Debra (Randall) and Kerry (Shay); as well as an extensive family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family who loved her dearly. Daisy leaves behind far more than a lifetime of memories. She leaves behind a family shaped by her love, strengthened by her example, and forever changed by her presence. Her legacy is in the people she loved, the lives she touched, the memories she created, and the simple but extraordinary way she spent her life showing up. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. Visitation: 12 – 1 pm Friday, September 4, 2026 in the funeral home. Funeral: 1 pm Friday, September 4, 2026 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment: Godbee Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to: Susan G.
