Dean A. "Tony" Maddox, age 84, of Savannah passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025.Mr. Maddox was born on October 3, 1940 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Guy Elmo Maddox and the late Mary Laverty Maddox. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and spent most of his professional career working as a Land Title Abstractor for Belford Title Company. Mr. Maddox was a veteran of the United States Army.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrna Turner Maddox; and his sister, Joan Burnett.Survivors include his sons, Dean "Dino" Maddox, Jr. (Robin) and Nathan Maddox; brother, Perry Maddox (Vera); and two grandchildren, Kayla Maddox (Caleb Tanner) and Jacob Maddox.A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406).Interment will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home before the service.In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Spanish Oaks Hospice (8510 Whitefield Ave. Savannah, GA. 31406).Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel.
