Gary Alan Hodges, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated member of the Savannah community, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10th, 2026, at the age of 76. Gary was born in Savannah, Georgia, on October 22nd, 1949, where he resided throughout his life, touching countless hearts along the way. Gary led a fulfilling career as a Sales Manager in the paper industry, where his leadership and dedication were respected by both colleagues and clients. Beyond his professional life, Gary was a devoted Deacon at Windsor Forest Baptist Church, where he lived his faith and extended his kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A true Southerner at heart, Gary had a passion for baseball and hunting and took great joy in watching his grandchildren play soccer and baseball. His love for the outdoors and spirited enthusiasm for the game left an indelible mark on family gatherings and community events. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Hodges, and their cherished daughters, Amy Malphrus (Jonathan) and Sarah Weber (Nick). He also leaves behind three beloved sisters, Sharon Short (Joe), Sandra Jarrell (Russell), and Kathi Hodges, and his adored grandchildren, Caleb and Riley Malphrus and Audrey and Claire Weber. Gary's life was further enriched by the presence of several nieces and nephews who brought him immense joy. He was predeceased by his devoted parents, Thomas D. Hodges and Christine Hodges, whose memory Gary held dear and honored throughout his life. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation, which will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel in Savannah, Georgia, on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A celebration of Gary's life will take place at the same location on Thursday, August 13th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Arrangements have been thoughtfully made by Baker McCullough Funeral Home, ensuring Gary is laid to rest with the dignity and respect he so greatly deserves.
