A Life Story

Gaston Joseph Caron (80) of Hilton Head Island passed away on Thursday March 20th, 2025. Gaston was preceded in death by parents Donat and Yvonne (Carriére) Caron and his 14 siblings Rolland, Rollande, Léonard, Gertrude, Raymonde, Gérald, Jeannine, Marie-Claire, Noella, Rhéal, Raymonde, Thérese, Roger, and survived by his sister Suzanne MacGregor. Born in Cornwall Ontario, Canada on June 18, 1944, Gaston joined the US army in 1964 and served one tour of duty in Vietnam. He settled in Massena, NY with his wife Ann (Eagles) and son Tate, born in 1971. He retired from General Motors after 35 years in 2003 and moved to Hilton Head Island, SC to be closer to his grandchildren Aja and Elijah. After 22 years of beach and island life, Gaston passed away with his family by his side at Savannah Memorial Hospital on March 20th, 2025.
