A Life Story

Ms. Jamie Graham, age 62, of Savannah, died Monday, February 3, 2025, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah after an extended illness. She was born on February 26, 1962 in Clearwater, Florida to Doris Berry Kersey and James Roger Kersey(Sybil). Jamie lived most of her life in Savannah and was a 1979 graduate of DeRenne Christian Academy. She worked with Savannah Vascular as a phone representative and was born Catholic but attended Grace Methodist Church in Savannah. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, painting, and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved going to the beach. Jamie was very artistic, had a bubbly personality, a go getter, and was always happy and always positive. She had a tendency to be a little hard headed and stubborn at times, but she was a loving mother to children. Jamie is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Nannette Lott and Patricia Wilson; and a brother, James Kersey.Her family includes her children, Byron Stauffer and his wife Katrina of Staten Island, New York and Taylor Mikell of Savannah; her brothers, Vincent Howard and his wife Beth of Greenville, South Carolina and Charles Kersey of Florida; her sisters, Victoria Callaway and her husband Bobby of Savannah and Sharon Kersey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma ; two grandchildren, Hailey Stauffer and Aiden Stauffer; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.The family will receive friends on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Grace Methodist Church beginning at 1:00 until just prior to the service. The celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 at Grace Church of Savannah with Pastor Steve Purnell officiating.
