Jimmy "Wayne" Dawkins, age 69, of Savannah passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025.Mr. Dawkins was born on March 16, 1955 in Dublin, GA, the son of the late James and Ruth Dawkins. He worked in management for Primary Steel Company and Arrow Exterminating. He served as a Pastor for many years. He attended Sanctuary Church in Savannah. Wayne enjoyed fishing and playing golf.In addition to his parents, Mr. Dawkins was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie and Billy Dawkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary E. Dawkins; son, Corey Dawkins; sister, Diane Sweat (Luke); and several nieces & nephews.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Sanctuary Church. The family will be receiving friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to assist the family with final expenses.
