A Life Story

Ruth Elizabeth Waters, 81, wife of 32 years to the late James H. Waters, died Friday, November 22, 2024. She was born August 11, 1943, in Augusta, Georgia to the late Reverend Johnnie W. and Anna Ruth Bohanan. She was a 1961 graduate of Savannah Christian School and worked in the retail sales field, most recently at Sam's Club. Ruth enjoyed her beloved beagle Jasper and she attended dozens of live concerts and was most known of being an Elvis Presley fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a daughter, Sharon Winn. Surviving are: her children, Lisa (Jimmy) Waters, James (Wendy) Waters and Nikki (CJ) Crowley; grandchildren, Kayla Hernandez, Christopher Winn, Loren (Joshua) Heath, Morgan Waters, Grace Waters and Parker Crowley; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda (Michael) Mullinax.
