A Life Story

Samuel E. Driggers, 61, of Savannah, Georgia passed away on July 2, 2026, at his home. Born in Savannah, Georgia. Sam worked at the Savannah Newspaper for many years and had recently retired. Sam was a member of and worked at, Richmond Hill Baptist church. Sam was a son of the late Allen W. Driggers and Joyce Kack. He was preceded in death by his sister, Alice I. Rothmeier; brother, Van A. Driggers; grandmother, Alice C. Driggers, and an uncle, Wade Driggers. As well as aunts Catherine Helmey and Pat Swisher. Surviving are his wife, Linda Driggers; son, Samuel T. Driggers (Maricella); sister, Rachel C. Hudson (Ronnie); niece, Ashley R. Krosschell (Brett), close family friend Denise Schlaeger; along with five grandchildren, Selene, Lauren, Riley, Daniel, Juliette and many cousins. Services for Samuel will be announced at a later date.
