A Life Story

Adelaide Farr Waller, 99, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, at The Oaks of Pooler. She was born February 27, 1925, in Camak, Georgia to the late Sterling and Floy Farr.Mrs. Waller was a lifelong resident of Garden City. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City, and the Lydian Sunday School Class. She was devoted to her family and her church. Mrs. Waller also loved her dogs, and especially chocolate. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edgar F. Waller, her sister, Catherine Calhoun, and her brother Welcome G. Farr. Surviving Mrs. Waller are her two sons, Stephen Farr Waller of Gracewood, Mark Waller (Becky) of Rincon, her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Warren Oglesby of Garden City, and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 20, 2024, at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 20, 2024, at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel with Rev. Doug Patterson officiating.Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.Remembrances may be made to First Baptist Church of Garden City, 35 Nelson Ave, Garden City, GA 31408.
