A Life Story

Barbara Ann Hardee, 85 years old passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born June 20, 1939 in Savannah, Georgia, the daughter of Ethel Jernegan. Barbara lived most of her life in Savannah moving to Midway, Georgia for the last 24 years. Barbara loved the lord she was a long-time member of Bible Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. She later moved her membership to Antioch Baptist Church. Barbara married the love of her life Thomas O. Hardee, Jr. where their loving journey centered around family for 44 years until Tommy's death in 2001. Barbara was a homemaker and spent many years babysitting her grandchildren along with other children.Barbara was proceeded in death by her mother, loving husband Tommy and infant son Stephen Hardee. She is survived by her children, Donald (Beverly) Hardee, Joseph (Nancy) Hardee, Toni (Danny) Sauls, and Douglas (Karyn) Hardee, her grandchildren Justin Hardee, Amanda Hardee, Dusty (Candice) Sauls, Jennifer (Marshall) Green, Alex (Megan) Hardee, Abby (Michael) Drawdy, and Maddy (Cody Gibbs) Jones and 11 great grandchildren.A Funeral Service will take place at Fox and Weeks Hodgson Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6. The burial will immediately follow the service at Hillcrest Abby East.
