A Life Story

Claudia Everett Baker, 78, went to her eternal home in heaven on her resurrection evening of January 13, 2025. Now reunited with saved family members and loved ones in God's heavenly family, homecoming journey is now complete.Claudia was a devoted loving wife, mother, Nana, great-grandmother, a loyal friend, conscientious worker, and generous in serving the needs of others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was wise beyond her years.Claudia was born to parents Gertrude Irvin Everett and Stephen Henry Everett, and was the second of three siblings. She was preceded in her transition by her parents and grandson, Steven C. Russell. She is survived by her husband, David Baker of Tybee Island, GA; her daughters, Kimberly Watson and Sonya Cochran of Savannah, GA; granddaughter, Courtney Brannan of Bloomingdale; grandsons, Kyle Cochran and Devyn Watson both of Savannah, GA; and a brother, Stephen Everett of Rincon, GA; along with four great-grandchildren, other dear friends and loved ones.Claudia was raised in Savannah, Georgia, and graduated from Effingham County High School in 1964. She was a wonderful homemaker and gifted in arts & crafts. She was office manager/dental assistant for Dr. Jack Ramsey for the majority of her working career when she retired in 2010.Claudia enjoyed family time, spoiling her little ones, playing with her diva dogs, watching crime mysteries, planting flowers, providing "honey-dos" while supervising her husband, the Atlanta Braves'#1 fan, dancing, and QVC clothes. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church from 1970-2012, and later joined Calvary Baptist Temple in Savannah.A celebration of Claudia's life in memorial service will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406.) on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Tommy East officiating.In lieu of flowers, she has respectfully requested remembrances be made to help others with the American Cancer Society.
