    A Life Story

Kenneth W. Thomas "Kenny" passed away peacefully at home on Tybee Island on Thursday, July 30, 2026. He was born August 31, 1948, in Savannah, son of the late William Clifford Thomas and Thelma Louise Deason Thomas. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Thomas Myrick. Kenny worked as a longshoreman for 48 years through I.L.A. Local 1475. For 20 of those years he served as a dispatcher, business agent, financial secretary or executive board chairman while also working ships at the G.P.A. He attended Jenkins High school, Armstrong College and the University of Georgia. He loved to travel with Vicki and they had many adventures together. Kenny will be remembered for his kindness and dry sense of humor. Survivors are his wife of 39 years, Victoria "Vicki", brothers Dr. James Thomas and Arthur Thomas both of Charleston, SC, and several nieces and a nephew. A graveside service will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 12:00p.m., Monday, August 3, 2026. In lieu of flowers remembrances can be made in memory of Kenny to Hospice Savannah or a favorite charity.
