A Life Story

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Wayne, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who left us peacefully while at his home on Tybee Monday, March 10, 2025, at the age of 69.Born on January 17, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia, Wayne was a man of great kindness, strength, and warmth. He dedicated his life to his family and his community, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. His unwavering love for his wife, Susan, was the cornerstone of their marriage, and together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and memories that will be cherished forever.As a father, Wayne was a source of guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support. His children, Alicen Pearson (daughter), Harry Lee (son), Hunter Lee (son), Brian Pearson (son-in-law), and Jessica Lee (daughter-in-law), remember him not only for his commitment to them but for the deep bonds he built with each of them. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing a word of advice, or simply being there to listen, he was always present when they needed him most.Though Wayne lived a full and rich life, his time with his young grandchildren, Bricen Pearson (6), Casen Pearson (3), and Forrest Lee (2), was far too brief. He had so many dreams of watching them grow, sharing stories, and creating memories together. Sadly, time was not on his side, and many of those moments will remain unfulfilled. However, those precious few moments they did share, whether it was a smile, a laugh, or a kind word, will live on in their hearts forever.Wayne is also survived by his cherished brother, Wendell Lee, and sister-in-law, Teresa Lee, with whom he shared a special bond throughout his life.Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Wesley Lee, and sister-in-law, Doris Lee, whose memories he held dear throughout his life.Wayne had a distinguished career as a real estate appraiser, a field in which he dedicated over 30 years of his life. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering integrity, he earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. His expertise and dedication to his work made a lasting impact in the real estate community, and his contributions will be remembered by all who had the privilege of working with him.One of Wayne's greatest joys in life was cheering on his children at their sports and performances. Whether it was watching a soccer game, a school play, or a volleyball match, he was always present, offering support and encouragement with a heart full of pride. He found immense joy in being an active part of their lives. Alongside his love for family, Wayne also treasured traveling with his wife, Susan. Together, they explored new places, created unforgettable memories, and built a bond that was strengthened through shared adventures. These moments of love, laughter, and exploration were some of the happiest of his life, and they will remain in the hearts of his family forever.While we are heartbroken by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, compassion, and integrity will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate to know him.A service to celebrate Wayne's life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home Islands Chapel, with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 PM.Rest in peace, Wayne/Dad/Pop-Pop.
