A Life Story

Mrs. Sharon Darlene Jordan, 76, of Garden City, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Candler Hospital. Darlene will be missed by her husband of 32 years, Michael Jordan; children, Denise Scott Patrick (Jody) and Mercer “Scotty” Scott (Kim); grandchildren, Cole Schoonover (Nellie), Ryan Schoonover (Carmen), Rachel Schuman (Tyler), Madison Scott, and Taylor Scott; great-grandchildren, Blakelyn, SinnieGrace, Ada, and Amelia; sisters, Melanie Cooler (Richard-deceased) and Tammie Futch (Jerry); a number of nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Maria Jones, Linda Jones, and Jennifer Jones. Darlene was born in Savannah, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin M. "Sonny" Jones and Hazel Hodges Odor; step-father, Joe Odor; brothers, Dennis Jones, Danny Jones, Tony Jones, and Gregg Jones. Darlene was a hard-working homemaker. She was a great cook, very crafty, enjoyed dancing, and was a very competitive video game player. She will be remembered for how friendly she was, for being a great wife, mother, sister, aunt, and Nana. She will be greatly missed. The graveside funeral and burial to honor Darlene’s life will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Powers Baptist Church Cemetery located at the corner of Highway 80 and Old River Road in Eden, Georgia.
