A Life Story

Shellia Tyre Flanagan, 71, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Candler Hospital. She was born on September 8, 1953, in Savannah, GA to James and Margaret Wilson Tyre. Shellia was a member of Coastal Cathedral Church of God. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army. Shellia loved to cook for her family and sew for her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Flanagan, and her son, James Flanagan. Surviving is her son, Shawn Flanagan of Savannah, her daughter, Rachel Kersey (James) of Savannah, her grandchildren, Lidia Flanagan, James Patrick Kersey, Magnolia Kersey, and Dylan Dickerson. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.
