    A Life Story

    Marlow – Barbara Ann Toole Coleman, 82, passed away August 29, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. The Candler County native was a member of the Pineora Holy Church of God. She was a homemaker who loved cooking and reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. C.C. “Shorty” Toole and Ada Maude Collins Toole; sister and brothers-in-law, Vivian Zeagler (Ben) and Duke Fort. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Ernest LouDean Coleman; daughter, Chrystal Coleman Griner (Larry); grandsons, Preston Griner and Finn Griner; siblings, Danny Toole (Susan), Valrie Tyson (Stan), Susan Fort, and David Toole (Sarah); and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Stan Tyson and Rev. Derrick Exley officiating. Interment will follow in Marlow Cemetery with Rev. Shawn Zeagler officiating. Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel. 912-754-6421
